On the 14th of February 2015 Singapore Rugby Union kicked off the year event for the Junior Rugby with its first tournament, Standard Chartered Bank Mini Rugby Tournament under 11 and under 13 (Round 1).

This year we had included the Junior Clubs to participate in the tournament. These addition to the tournament would be a good competition for our local school who will be participating in their respective National Tournament. A total of 10 schools and 2 Junior Clubs teams participated in both category, Under 11 and Under 13. It was an exciting competition with maximum action on both sides of the pitch with teams stepping up their level of play and skills.

This year in the Under 13 category, the bowl championship went to Sembawang Primary School after beating Endeavour Primary School in the Bowl Finals. In the Plate Finals we saw Centaurs Club playing against Anglo Chinese Primary School. Centaurs Club manage to come up on top at the end of the Plate Finals winning the Plate Championship. Anglo Chinese Junior School and Dragons Club met in the Cup Finals and after an exciting display of rugby from each team, Anglo Chinese Junior School came up on top and were crowned the Cup Champions.

In the Under 11 Category, in the bowl finals once again we had Sembawang Primary School against Endeavour Primary School. This time round Endeavour Primary School manage to beat Sembawang Primary School and took home the Bowl Championship. In the Plate Finals, St Andrews Junior School overcame Damai Primary School and were named the Plate Champions. Cup Finals we saw Dragons Club and Anglo Chinese Junior School fighting it out for the Championship. Dragons Club ended off their tournament strong with a win over Anglo Chinese Junior School and were crowned the Cup Champions.

It was an exciting tournament for all and Singapore Rugby Union would like to thank all school and clubs and also the supporters for making the tournament a success.
